A Destination that Breathes with the Culture of Sharing
Inspired by Berna Tunalı Mimaroğlu's colourful personality and family values, Bernadet is a holistic living space centred on culture, interdisciplinary and interpersonal interaction. It offers a “living museum” experience with its libraries curated in line with the theme of each building and various decorative objects of a collector nature, facilitating personal discoveries and collective sharing.
A Passion Project Turns into Bernadet
Berna Tunalı Mimaroğlu is the soul and inspiration of Bernadet. An artist, designer and traveler with a multifaceted personality, Berna got into the habit of introducing herself as 'Bernadette' on the phone to facilitate communication when traveling abroad. Over time, Berna's open-mindedness, creativity and vision came to life as a hotel in Alaçatı on the land they had acquired as a family years ago.
A DNA Shaped by Art and Symbols
Bernadet's identity was shaped by Kirkor Sahakoğlu's quote “We have become the light, now it's time to paint its shadow”. Our logo, based on the brooch designed by Berna Tunalı Mimaroğlu, is a blend of numerology, abstract aesthetics and deep symbolism. This design, which represents individual discovery with the human silhouette, the connection with the sun and nature, and continuous transformation with the Zen circle, whispers new meanings at every glance.
A Timeless Community

Bernadet is an unorthodox Alaçatı address where, in the heart of the hotel, you'll find a thousand-year-old olive tree. With two outdoor pools and refined landscaping, the hotel welcomes its guests in four buildings dedicated to different themes: mind and body, art and workshop, travel and corporate life and gastronomy and wine. Shaped by the visionary touches of architect Han Tümertekin and handcrafted by artisans, Bernadet is a special place that combines the traditional bay houses of the Aegean with contemporary construction.

While providing home comfort in our rooms, we welcome our guests by offering various and experiential flavors with the philosophy of 'Zero Waste' in our gastronomy approach. As the Bernadet Family, we aim to provide peace and integrity in every detail.
OUR STORY
The Mimaroğlu Family fell under the spell of Alaçatı in the early 2000s and decided to settle here. The land they bought in 2003 with Berna's dream of “a hotel as warm as home” turned into the family's personal living space and a hotel, although different projects were tried over the years.
In 2012, when construction started, Berna was diagnosed with leukemia. Berna turned the treatment process into a “second honeymoon” with her husband Vedat, and when they settled in their house in Alaçatı, she created her dream space, reflecting her energy in every detail. This short but intense period; tables shared under the shade of the thousand-year-old olive tree in the garden, Vedat's last gift to Berna, artistic expressions and inspiring conversations shaped the spirit of today's Bernadet.
Although Berna's physical presence has ended, her unique signature lives on at this address.
